Paint by Valerie is the practice of Valerie Hernandez, a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist with Puerto Rican and Mexican roots and an itch to create. She has worked across animation, illustration, design, and large-scale art installations. Her clients have included Disney Television Animation, J.M. Smucker's, Albert Whitman & Company, Santa Cruz Organic, Dandelion Chocolate, TruRoots, and private collectors.

Before that, she built her foundation at Ringling College of Art and Design, graduating with honors in Illustration. As well as undergraduate residencies at the New York Academy of Fine Art and Studio Arts College International in Florence.
